Hospice Celebrates Moments in Life
The National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization recently launched the Moments in Life Campaign to dispel some of the myths that keep people from taking advantage of all that hospice has to offer. The Moments in Life Campaign celebrates the moments that hospice helps to create for patients and families. This year, CareFirst staff have helped patients earn their GED, make connections with estranged family members, travel to desired destinations and remain comfortably in their homes surrounded by the people who matter most to them. 2nd Annual Dick's Dice Run & Benefit to be Held in Pine Valley
Community members are invited to join friends of Richard “Dick” Austin to celebrate life, family, and love while enjoying summer views and the open road. On July 20th, riders will cruise around Seneca Lake to remember Dick Austin and to raise money for CareFirst. Please call Kristen Austin at (607) 846-5015 with questions or donations.
Good Gried Day
A fun-filled one day event with traditional camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support. Grief Camp will be held Saturday, July 19th at Spencer Crest Nature Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event will be facilitate by CareFirst bereavement professionals and trained volunteers. It is free of charge to all children in the community ages 6-12 years old who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
