Hospice Celebrates Moments in Life
The National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization recently launched the Moments in Life Campaign to dispel some of the myths that keep people from taking advantage of all that hospice has to offer. The Moments in Life Campaign celebrates the moments that hospice helps to create for patients and families. This year, CareFirst staff have helped patients earn their GED, make connections with estranged family members, travel to desired destinations and remain comfortably in their homes surrounded by the people who matter most to them. Vist the NHPCO website for more information about the campain and to view the Moments in Life video.

Good Grief, Let's Go!
Children and their caregivers are invited to join us on September 13th for a one-day workshop for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Children ages 6-12 years old and caregivers will be divided into groups to collaborate with their peers and each other on hands-on activities to assist in the grieving process. Caregivers will be provided with educational information regarding children's development and how a loss can impact this development.
